About

David Bill is the Director of Academic Technology at Worcester Academy, in Worcester, MA. He also teaches AP World History and is the head coach of the girls cross-country team. He taught World History for 3 years at Worcester Academy prior to starting his new position in the summer of 2008. Before Worcester Academy, he worked as the Online Services Coordinator at the National Trust For Historic Preservation, where he assisted historians and architects from around the country in an on-line forum.

As a faculty member at Holy Trinity School, an elementary and middle school in Washington, DC, he was an assistant teacher for First and Fifth grades as well as substituting for grades Pre-K to Eighth. During his time at Holy Trinity he also worked as a tutor and a baseball coach.

Mr. Bill earned a B.A. in History, from Hampden-Sydney College. In 2005, he graduated with a M.A. in History from George Mason University. In the Fall of 2008, Mr. Bill will begin a M.A. in Computing and Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College.

Recently, Mr. Bill has presented two workshops at the 2008 NAIS National Conference in New York, NY and hosted a workshop on the potential of blogs and wikis at a professional development workshop at Worcester Academy in July of 2007.  In January 2009, he will present at Educon 2.1
